Tips for Android 7.0 Nougat to Make You Fall in Love

By: Editorial Staff

Nougat
The Android Nougat is the next system introduced that everyone is excited for. The most recent version, 7.1, is being released along with the most anticipated Google Pexel phone as well as other models, but the 7.0 version has finally become available on the much loved One Plus 3.

You can now get the new Android Nougat 7.0 system through the new OxygenOS version. There are many features of the Nougat that will change your phone and the way you use it such as notification design, the ability to view multiple windows at once, and being able to reply directly to a notification. All of this will improve time and efficiency. If you do get your hands on one of these phones, make sure youkeep it safe from any dangers!

If you’re eager to jump onto this wagon and grab yourself a new phone with a fantastic new system on it, then here are 8 One Plus 3 tips for Android 7.0 Nougat.

  1. Volume

Being able to toggle the volume of your phone is essentially especially if you accidentally play a Snapchat video in public or someone calls you in a meeting. If you want to set the volume to zero, however, or put your phone on vibrate you won’t be able to do that by the hardware keys like many other phones. Instead, you’ll have to set up the phone on silent mode, via the settings, and then enable vibrations. The phone will vibrate whenever you get a notification or call so you can receive all of your important messages without disturbing anything.

  1. LED

Customizing things on your phone is always fun, from wallpapers to widgets, it makes your phone yours. You can change the color of the little LED light that signals notifications to make it right for you. However, it should be noted that the LED light will always flash blue when charging your phone, so don’t drive yourself mad digging through your settings trying to change it.

  1. Power Save

Power saving mode can really save your life, turning it on can mean dragging out your phones energy so you can use it for basic things without it being drained by extras. This essentially means you can contact people and keep a track of the time whilst on 10%. The extras that will turn off include the GPS and the rotation setting that flips whenever you turn your phone a certain way such as horizontal when watching a video. If this isn’t your cup of tea and you need these features to function, you can turn GPS on manually whilst using the power saver mode so you can find your way home.

  1. Recent Apps

If you use an app more than others over and over again, such as messenger, you no longer have to wade you everything else to get to it. All you have to do is tap the recent button twice and the last used app will come up. This particularly useful if you accidentally close an app or need something else from it that you forgot to do.

  1. Clock Widget

Clock widget designs are almost always different depending on the phone. Unlike other designs, this clock widget takes up slightly more space as it can display different timezones as well as the main clock. So if you’ve got family in another country or are simply curious, you can add different time countries to the clock widget.

  1. Mobile Data

Mobile data can be a savior if you’re bored in a cafe or browsing on your commute, but it can also turn into a disaster that moment you realize you’ve been using data the entire time regardless of the fact WiFi is available. You start worrying about how much your monthly bill will be, how much do you have left? And from then on you are constantly paranoid that mobile data is draining your bank account. Now you can stop worrying about these things. Next to the signal strength icon in the notification bar, you should see a small ‘X’ mark. This little symbol means that mobile data is disabled and so you don’t have to constantly check that you’ve switched it off. Life saver or what?

  1. Splitscreen

Multitasking on a PC is fantastic. You can listen to music whilst window shopping for some new boots and checking your emails all at the same time, so why should your smartphone be any different? Now you can multitask on your phone without constantly closing apps. All you have to do to set up the splitscreen mode is hold down the recent button within an app and press the home button and then launch another app to the homescreen. If you want to exit this mode and return to normal, you can simply hold down the recent button again whilst two apps are displayed. Alternatively, you can resize the apps to make one of them fullscreen, this will also get you out of splitscreen mode. Although good apps are generally smooth, sometimes you run into crashes when they stop working. If this happens to you, in or out of splitscreen mode, find out the best way to stop it from messing up your phone!

  1. App Details

If you think an app is taking up too much data, you want to stop it from running or are simply curious about it, then you can get details about the app you are using very easily. You have to simply tap the recent button, hold onto the app’s icon and you should see a little information icon pop up in the app’s title bar. Simple tap on it and it will bring you to the management of that app, including its data, forcing it to stop and other things. If you’ve got a lot of apps and such on your phone, make sure to back it up!

Getting a new phone can be daunting but also exciting, you want to find out how you can play around with it and all the new features that its system and make can bring. From changing the color of the little LED light to being able to play around with screens, the One Plus 3 has a lot to offer. More importantly, the Android Nougat is a fantastic system that makes using your phone a better experience and brings more life and value to any smartphone. We hope that you’ve enjoyed these One Plus 3 tips for the Android 7.0 Nougat and that you’re lucky enough to give them a go.
