7 Games Like Cooking Fever To Make You The Best Chef

By: Editorial Staff

Even if you don’t like cooking for yourself, cooking games like Cooking Fever tend to capture the hearts and minds of people from all walks of life. There is just something special about the methodical tasks, fast-paced gameplay, interesting characters, and fun creations you make – without the risk of burning down your house.

Cooking Fever is a simple game where you do the same basic things over and over again, but the fact that it is time-sensitive makes it difficult.

7 Games Similar To Cooking Fever

Whether you’ve already exhausted Cooking Fever or you just want to play something else, there are plenty of games similar to Cooking Fever out there. We tested a bunch to see which ones could live up to the hype and keep you entertained in your own virtual cooking career. Here is what we found:

1 – Breakfast Cooking Mania

  • Crafting, Puzzle, Time Management, & Story game

When you get to Monsto Island, you will immediately get to work. From level one, Breakfast Cooking Mania is a challenge- and the decisions you make now will impact the rest of your game. You have to cook meals to appease locals and tourists as well as build up your business. You will have rivals that you compete against and friends who will help you.

What is nice about this app like Cooking Fever is that you can change the menu and pick what you want, something you should use strategically. Some of the recipes are harder to make, but they go further. You have to balance everything else you have to do (including building new restaurants) with your cooking, which gets difficult.

Pros: Pick your own menu; fun from the start; great graphics

Cons: If you make a big mistake early on, you may have to restart the whole thing

2 – Cake Mania

  • Entirely cake based

If you like Cooking Fever, Cake Mania is the same type of strategy and time-management game, but all based around cakes and pastries. You get to grow your business by serving clients, entering competitions, and getting good press. You just don’t know who gives you that press – so you have to ensure you serve everyone. This means that you need to ensure your place is clean, well decorated, and you hire good help. It takes a lot of juggling to find the right combination of elements!

Pros: Amazing storyline to follow; great decorations to personalize your restaurant

Cons: There are a few bugs here and there, but a restart fixes them

3 – Delicious Deluxe

  • Make your own recipes

Delicious Deluxe allows you to start at the very bottom as Emily. You need to create your own restaurant from the base up, determine the menu, and even make your own dishes. The focus on this game isn’t as much on serving people, but creating a place where people want to hang out and buy things. This means you need to focus on service and decorations. The storyline is quite addictive and you will want to keep playing just to see Emily succeed.

Pros: Amazing storyline to follow; great decorations to personalize your restaurant

Cons: There are a few bugs here and there, but a restart fixes them

4 – Happy Chef

  • Huge number of dishes – more challenging

Happy Chef is a bit of a story game where you also have to manage your time and resources. You will be the chef and you need to complete a massive number of orders in a short amount of time – and memorize quite a few recipes. You will create your own restaurant, pay for ads, decorate, hire people, and more. The more money you earn, the more you can do. There are some choices within the game, so you can complete one location and move onto the others. With 70 levels, you will play this one for quite some time.Pros: Different restaurant options; fantastic different dishes; hire people to help you

Cons: The first few levels are a little too easy – it takes a long time to get into the thick of the game

5 – Hotel Dash

  • Similar game, different topic!

If you are tired of the cooking, Hotel Dash has cooking elements mixed into some other tasks that aren’t cooking related. Hotel Dash is a bit more casual than some of the other games on the list. You need to deliver room service, clean rooms, deliver luggage, and traverse different levels to get points and improve your hotel. You will go all over the world to help people at your hotels; you need their reviews to go from a 2-star to a 5-star and beyond.

The staff can be really annoying and sometimes their actions seem unfair, but you just have to work around them to succeed.

Pros: Slowly unlocking features make the game seem more exciting; a departure from cooking all the time but has cooking elements

Cons: The characters sometimes do weird things to knock you off track

6 – Kitchen Scramble: Cooking Game

  • Make more than 1,000 dishes!

If you are looking for variety, you need to download Kitchen Scramble. This game is a time manager and cooking simulation like Cooking Fever, but it offers so many more options. You will be able to make over 1,000 different dishes, pick from hundreds of decor items, and meet many, many clients. You work on a day-to-day basis, but you also need to meet harder longterm goals that require more planning. You can play with friends on Facebook, compare scores, and even follow a great storyline with a bit of romance.

Pros: Over 1,000 dishes; amazing gameplay; plenty of options; extremely well written story

Cons: This is a really heavy app and takes up a lot of space

7 – Pizza Shop Mania

  • Just like Cooking Fever, but with pizza!

Pizza Shop Mania is a time sensitive strategy game where you make and sell pizzas. You have to build the perfect pies, decorate your shop, and keep customer satisfaction levels high. There are 48 levels to this game, and each one is increasingly complex. You will start getting stuck around level 9. Each level has its own goal, and you need to hit that goal to move on to the next one. There are other little mini games and tasks you can complete to help you when you get stuck.

Pros: The mini challenges are quite fun; great geat to decorate your shop

Cons: Some of the pizzas aren’t intuitive, so pay attention when they teach them to you

Cooking games like Cooking Fever as a dime a dozen, but that doesn’t mean they are all good or worthy. With the games above, you will get the same quality but you will have some different options if you get tired of making the same things.
