For those among you who perhaps don’t know, the “FUT” in FUT Web App stands for FIFA Ultimate Team.
The latest version of this game is FUT21 which is a special version of FIFA 21 that is chock-full of special features. Some say FUT21 is among the most addictive games on the planet, especially for the “thinking man”. We are inclined to agree! It’s pretty awesome.
The basic idea of FUT21 (or any older version of FUT for that matter) is that it allows you to create your dream football team. You can do that by buying and selling players on the football transfer market. We’re talking about soccer here for those of you who know football as another sport! You can also use the Futbin ultimate guide to conduct research and track the price of your favorite players.
With FUT21 you become the ultimate football manager and with time, you will begin to appreciate just how difficult and thankless a job that can be in the real world. The ultimate in edutainment!
However, there will be more about that elsewhere on these pages. At this point, all you need to know is that you will need some tools to play FUT21 well, and the FUT Web App will provide you with those tools.
Speaking of which…
What Is the FUT Web App?
The thing about buying and selling football players is that it can be a cutthroat business, especially in the virtual world. The best football managers are the most efficient managers, and that is where the FUT Web App comes in.
The FUT Web App is the official platform on which you can conduct your football trades. The app allows you to complete your trades faster and more comfortably than on any other platform. The crux of it is that your prospects of achieving meaningful success playing FUT21 are significantly enhanced when you use the app which is why you need it!
The web app has more features than the FUT Companion App which is really just for your mobile phone and other mobile devices. Naturally, there are some limitations that will come with the latter. The companion app is available for both iOS and Android.
When you have access to the FUT Web App, you can manage just about everything with the console or platform. Following is some of the functionality:
- Search, sell, and trade cards effectively. These are the three things that matter the most here.
- Access the FUT Club which allows you to manage your Ultimate Team.
- Play Squad Building Challenges which some argue is more fun than the actual game. You are provided challenges to build a squad that fits specific requirements. In doing so, you trade players and get specific rewards.
- Purchase Player Packs which contain an arrangement of players. EA shows you the odds before you purchase.
- Access the Transfer Market which is a forum or auction to buy and sell things like players, cards, etc.
You can also perform somewhat of a trial run with the squads you have created. The key to any successful football squad is chemistry, and the app allows you to test that chemistry and make the necessary changes. Learn more about chemistry with FUTHead, which provides information about players – who’s new, who is not performing to standards, etc. FUTHead also contains information about FIFA clubs and leagues and a whole host of valuable information that will allow you to make intelligent decisions about players to enhance your game experience.
The FUT Web App also allows you to share squads with friends, making it the most social football management app yet!
Another important function the app provides is the ability to keep up with the Team of the Week (TOTW) and the squad leaderboards. There are also plenty of opportunities for consultation and extensive interaction with all the club and player cards that feature prominently on those lists.
The FUT Web App is currently FREE!
What Do You Need to Access the FUT Web App?
The FUT Web App is available on web browsers via desktop or laptop computers. As stated above, the FUT Companion App is available for mobile devices and has limited functionality.
You will also need an EA account (described below), access to the FIFA 21 game, and you must have created a FUT Club. You can create a FUT Club by going to FIFA Ultimate Team Mode. This is all standard operating procedure if you’re playing the FIFA game!
How Do You Access the FUT Web App?
You can access the FUT Web App on your PC, tablet or mobile device (companion app) by visiting the product’s official site. On the home page, you will have an option to launch the web app. Click on that:
To use the app, as mentioned above, you will need an EA account. Once you click launch web app, a new window will open, and you will be requested to log in if you already have an EA Account. Having an EA Account gives you access to all EA games, websites and services including the FUT Web App and FUT21.
If you do not have an EA account, click on Login anyway, and you will be able to create an account.
When creating an EA account, you will be prompted for basic information including a security question and birthdate. You will create a Public ID which is your unique display name.
When you arrive at the following screen, either login or select “Create your EA account” on the right hand side:
Once you have entered all the information, you must verify and activate your account. For login verification, confirm the email or text sent to you, and verify your FUT secret question. None of this is going to send a rocket to the moon, but the extra admin helps keep your account safe.
How Do You Access the FUT Companion Web App?
As mentioned above, the FUT companion app is for use with your mobile phone and is available for both Andriod and iOS. You can download it on Apple’s App Store and on Google Play:
How Do You Unlock the FUT Web App?
Gaining access to the FUT Web App is one thing, but gaining access to the transfer market when using the FUT Web App can be slightly more difficult.
More often than not, you will find that any difficulty accessing the transfer market is a direct consequence of rule violations.
The basic expectation is that the transfer market will unlock the moment you log in to either the web app or companion app. The mantra of the game’s developers is that if you stick to the rules, you should never experience problems in this regard.
If you do break the rules, you will likely be suspended or even banned from the app. You can address the matter with EA, though, especially if you feel you have been unfairly wronged.
Has Your Account Been Hacked?
If your FUT account is locked, there is a distinct possibility that the account has been hacked. It is certainly not impossible in this day and age! Accounts are hacked in some cases to transfer coins. There are steps you can take that will remedy this and subsequently unlock the FUT Web App.
First, check to see whether you received an email from EA with an account password reset which you didn’t request. If so, you should contact EA support immediately and begin a chat session. EA support can send a verification code to your original email address and help you gain access to your account.
Some users have reported that when they access the web app, the prepopulated login information (admit it, we all store login information which is generally not a safe practice) has changed. In this scenario, you should also reach out to EA support and ask for assistance as you have likely been hacked.
In some cases, the resolution to a hacked account, with the assistance of EA support, is to set up the account with a new email address and, of course, new password.
Once you regain access from a locked account, check the “discard pile” on the club page and determine if unfamiliar players are there or if players have been listed at higher than usual prices. Sometimes hackers will use your account to list players at higher prices and then quickly sell them.
If you have been hacked and have lost coins in the process, sometimes EA support can help you get them back. It never hurts to ask.
What if Your Account Doesn’t Have A FUT Club Associated With It?
When you get this error message when in the FUT Web App, it ordinarily means that you have a brand new FIFA account. You will also get this error message if you have been banned in the previous year or the last time you had access to the app.
Because your club is banned, you will need to create a new club.
The difficulty here is that there is actually nothing you can do until the active game is out, at which point you are able to create the new club or team.
The lines become significantly blurred with this error message, and there is frankly no official process which lets you know when the transfer market will be available.
The general consensus is that the error results when you have been inconsistently playing the game. You should try and play at least one game every day of the week or as often as possible until the transfer market is available. If you play consistently for about a week, you should eventually gain access to the market.
Using The FUT Web App
When you log onto the FUT Web App, you will encounter six screens:
1 – This tab shows how many FIFA points you have, which will help you buy packs and also play the FUT draft. It also shows the date the Club was established.
2 – On the left-hand side, you have access to a series of menus which provide everything you need for your FUT account. With those menu tabs you can keep up to date on how much money you have. The virtual currency used in the FUT Web App is simply coins; who said football players are economic pioneers?
3 – On the top left of your monitor you will encounter a screen for your season objectives. As the name suggests, this will allow you to chart your course for the active season, by setting goals and keeping tabs on performance against the goals. You will find all of your FUT milestones in this section.
4 – Directly to the right of that, you will see a screen for Squad Building Challenges, which is a nice perk. At the bottom left of the screen, you will find a screen dedicated to the Transfer List and your Active Squad. Together, the three blocks at the bottom actually account for the three features you are likely to use the most when operating the FUT Web App.
5 – At the center of your monitor, you will see one large screen allocated to the Team of The Week, special card releases, promotions, and upcoming events. This will help ensure that you do not miss any valuable opportunities to perform transactions and make gains.
6 – Directly below that on the right-hand side you have access to the Stadium Build which will allow you to customize your stadium and Club items. It comes with a host of great features that help enhance the atmosphere when you are performing your football transactions or trades. You get to feel like you are really the owner and manager of the club you have created.
Conclusion
The FUT Web App is designed to make your gaming experience more pleasurable and ultimately more worthwhile. However, as with anything technical it can be somewhat daunting when you use it for the first time. There is lots of support within the app, and the FUTHead online community is awesome. There are Twitter and Facebook support forums which are fairly active.
The FUT Web App is tremendously useful to perform the operations you need to become a top player in FIFA 21. There’s a sense of pride when you create a team from scratch and see it perform well. There’s also a huge education experience as you learn what it’s like to buy and sell players and develop strategies for play. FIFA 21 has received fairly good reviews, so be prepared to spend hours with the app and game!
